International Women’s Day

The 6th girls from Queen of Angels were very fortunate to be invited to celebrate International Women’s day in the Balally Resource Centre last Thursday. Well- renowned Donegal, rugby union player, Nora Stapleton gave a very inspirational talk on Irish women in sport. Nora has represented Ireland in 3 Rugby World Cups in 2010, 2014 and 2017. Now retired from rugby, Nora spoke about the huge influence sport had on her life. From almost the moment she could walk she was involved in some form of sport in her native Buncrana : athletics, Gaelic football, camoige, soccer to name but a few. She only started playing rugby at the age of 24!
A big thank you to BRC for organising the event and for inviting the girls from 6th class.
