Grandparents’ Day 2019

We recently celebrated Grandparents’ Day in our school. Every day in Queen of Angels we get to see the very supportive role our wonderful grannies and grandads play in the lives of the pupils here in our school. They can be seen daily dropping and collecting children to the school and always with a smile on their faces. We know they are also very helpful with homework duty when the pupils go home! Therefore we were delighted to get the opportunity to say “Thank you” for their excellent support. We had a great turn out on the morning. The grandparents gathered in the hall and their grandchildren came to collect and then accompany them to their classes. Children sang songs, recited poems and asked them interesting questions on what school was like for them long ago!

The grandparents then returned to the hall for a welcome cup of tea, a chat and to admire all the amazing project work and art that was on display in the hall for Grandparents’ Day. A big thank you to all the wonderful grandparents who visited us on the day and a special word of thanks to Chick Ryan who visited a few classes to tell them what school life was like for her. A magical day was had by all!
