The Early Bird Catches the Worm

I took this photograph because I believe that the world around us is very important. Although sometimes we don’t notice this because we are too busy working or looking after others.

I also took this photo because of bright and vibrant colour of the pansies and because of the important role worms play in our environment.

As the earthworm digs it swallows large chunks of soil. Often this soil contains a lot of dead plant matter. The earthworm can eat this matter and what it leaves behind is rich soil which is very good for growing plants, flowers and vegetables and it is these things that make our environment a much brighter, colourful and enjoyable place to live in!
