We had a wonderful day collecting our award on behalf of everyone in Queen of Angels who has collected bottles over the past year.
We won the sustainability prize as the judges loved that the bottle and prize money will be used to bring our school garden back to life. We plan that the children will be able to get out gardening next year - digging and planting vegetables in our school garden.
Well done to all who contributed bottles this year and we hope to continue the project next year and that all the children will be involved. Even one can/bottle per child per week can make a huge difference.
A big thanks to the children who represented our school in Croke Park. They were fantastic reps and had a wonderful day out. They were entertained with games, a Photo Booth and a magician. They had a beautiful meal and met many famous faces- Ian Dempsey and Donncha O Callaghan. Robyn even got interviewed for News2day and was on the tv talking about our school initiative. It was definitely a trip to remember.
