On the morning of Intercultural Day, the entire school community gathered in the junior yard for our parade. The sun shone brightly, and everyone basked in its warmth. Children and parents arrived dressed in every colour of the rainbow: some wearing traditional costumes, others proudly sporting their country’s sports jerseys, while many were dressed in the colours of their national flags. Children played bodhráns, shook maracas, and banged tambourines as they marched proudly, waving their country’s flags to the beat of intercultural music playing over the school loudspeakers. Families walked proudly behind their country banners as we completed a celebratory lap around the school. It was a truly magical sight. A big thank you to Ms Downes for organising this great day!
