Well done to 4th Class on their wonderful Breakfast Assembly. The children spoke confidently about all the exciting learning taking place in their classroom at the moment. They especially enjoyed learning about Ancient Greece and proudly showcased their fantastic projects on the Greek alphabet, the first Olympic Games, homes, food, clothing and daily life in Ancient Greece.
The class also performed a school favourite, the Irish song, Is Mise Fear an Cheoil. Everyone loved the actions as the children acted out playing the instruments mentioned in the song.
The children also explored Space through a variety of creative projects. Not only did they write detailed projects on Space, but they also created their very own solar system installation. See the attached photos to admire all of their hard work and creativity.
In Art, the children made beautiful candle holders using paper mâché to decorate jars. They held their candles during their final performance of Coldplay’s, A Sky Full of Stars, which was a lovely ending to the assembly.
Well done to Ms Archer, Ms Reid, Kathy and all the pupils in 4th class. It was wonderful to see so many parents and relatives in attendance to support the children. The parents were invited to the senior block for some breakfast and a chat. A big thanks to Ms Downes for organising this.
