Queen of Angels Primary School was recently awarded its 6th Green Flag for Global Citizenship Litter and Waste. This is an initiative run by An Taisce which promotes long-term, whole school action for the environment with involvement from the wider community. Our pupils have worked hard over a two year period developing the many aspects of Global Citizenship and its relevance and importance in our own school community. Learning all about the Global Goals was of particular interest to our pupils with many exciting projects and events throughout the course of the two years. We had two fabulous Green School Committee members attend the awards ceremony in DCU, Razaan Benchenna and Kevin Tirgoala, both from
3rd Class. We had a wonderful time and met with pupils from many other schools who were also there to receive their Green Flags. The games and prizes were plentiful on the day and it was a lovely way for all of us to celebrate our great achievement.
