2nd class had an amazing school tour to Forest Adventures at The Gap, Glencullen.
They started their adventure with Heather with hut building, rope climbing, playing in the sand pit and mud kitchen.
The children then made necklaces by drilling wholes in wood pieces and did art with clay. Then they learned how to light a campfire with flint and metal. The children melted marshmallows over a campfire and made s’mores and drank hot chocolate.
Finally the children walked up the mountain and admired the view. The even got to see a Megalithic Tomb.
We had a wonderful day. The children had a sing song on the way home on the bus in spontaneous celebration.
